Why Powder?
Most shampoo is around 80% water. The industry bottles that water in plastic and ships it (which is very heavy and fuel-hungry) to bathrooms that already have clean water on tap, which didn't make any sense to us.
So we took the water out. Selkie is the concentrated, hard-working part of your shampoo, made without the added water. Our formulas are delivered in plastic-free packaging alongside a keep-for-life refill bottle. Selkie is designed to be mixed with tap water, and our formulas are independently, third-party tested to confirm they stay safe and stable once mixed.
